Vision
The Department has a comprehensive and ambitious vision to provide distinguished teaching environment that enables graduates undertake leadership in their future careers in private and public sectors. Graduates are equipped with very rich and diverse study plans that enable them pursue their post-graduate study here and elsewhere with no hindrance. Based on excellence in teaching and research, the Department programs expanded horizontally (by providing two different study plans in Pure Chemistry and in Applied Chemistry) and vertically (by providing study plans leading to M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemistry).
Mission
Since establishment in 1977, the Department mission, in accordance with that of the Faculty of Sciences, An-Najah N. University, is helping Arab Societies in general, and Palestinian Society in particular, to reach sustainable economic and social development by providing quality graduates in Chemistry at both under-graduate and post-graduate levels.
