During the school, three public seminars will be held during the break hour. It will be open to any student/person interested in the topic. The topics of the seminars are carefully selected, the seminars will discuss hot subjects in physics and the most recent achievements in the last few years.

The story of two black holes F. Robinet Seminar 1
Large HEP Detectors: LHCb F. Machefert Seminar 2
Physics at LHCb M-H. Schune Seminar 3

On the evening of Monday November 14th, a public event will take place. It will be open for everybody in the region who is interested to attend. Officials, Parents, young people and any interested person are welcome. Two plenary talks are planned for this evening.

The first is a pedagogical, philosophical talk that will be about:

Do we understand Einstein’s theory of relativity ? The case of the ‘Twin paradox’
by Jean-Marc LEVY LEBLOND.

Another talk is planned to be attractive to the public as well. It will be about

A journey in world of particle physics. The Higgs boson discovery
by Marie-Hélène Schune and Achille Stocchi.

Three specialized seminars for High Schools students will be presented. The seminars will be given by international professors and will discuss recent discoveries and achievements in physics. Invited students from Northern cities of West Bank.
