Dr. Sulaiman Khalil, Dean of the Faculty of Science at An-Najah University, received Professor Hans Nilsson from the Swedish Institute of Space Physics in Sweden along with Dr. Mousa Al-Hasan, Head of the Department of Physics at An-Najah, and Dr. Imad Al-Barghouthi, Professor of Physics at Al-Quds University.

In his meeting with the guest Dr. Khalil welcomed Professor Nilsson to An-Najah and expressed the University’s concern with expanding its relationships with the different science institutes and centers around the world, including in Sweden.

As part of his visit, Professor Nilsson delivered a lecture at the Faculty of Science which was attended by a number of faculty staff and students from the Department of Physics. Professor Nilsson’s lecture was titled “Scientific Research in Astronomy, Reality and Future Challenges”.

During the visit, both sides agreed on reinforcing the academic relationships between An-Najah, the Swedish Institute of Space Physics and Al-Quds University which will include the exchange of researchers and scientists.

Finally, Professor Nilsson visited the Old City of Nablus where he was introduced to the many historical and ancient landmarks in the city.
