Reaffirming its leadership in developing projects with regional and global impact, An-Najah National University proudly announces that its BASE Project has officially been awarded the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) Label — a distinguished recognition granted to pioneering regional initiatives that promote cooperation, innovation, and sustainable development across Mediterranean countries.
This milestone represents an international acknowledgment of An-Najah’s outstanding academic and research excellence, underscoring the university’s sustained commitment to developing impactful regional and global initiatives through international partnerships — particularly with the Union for the Mediterranean.
The recognition was formally confirmed in an official letter addressed to the Grants and Projects Center at An-Najah University, highlighting the university’s active role in leading collaborative research and development initiatives.
Prof. Abdel Nasser Zeid, President of An-Najah National University, expressed his deep pride in this achievement, stating:

Her Excellency Dr. Kherieh Rassas, Vice President for International Partnerships and Global Initiatives, emphasized that earning the UfM Label for the BASE Project embodies the university’s vision of expanding its international presence and strengthening its global partnerships.
“This recognition serves as a strong motivation to continue building bridges of academic and research cooperation with regional and international institutions,” Dr. Rassas noted. “The UfM Label stands as a mark of appreciation for the efforts of the project team and our outstanding partners who contributed to this success.”
