On Wednesday, March 23rd, 2016, and under the patronage of the Palestinian Prime Minister, Professor Rami Hamdallah, the Faculty of Sciences at An-Najah inaugurated the activities of the 2nd International Conference on Material Science and Nanotechnology at the Prince Turki Bin Abdul Aziz Auditorium in the New Campus.


The conference was over two days from March 23rd-24th, 2016 and was supported by the Omega Raw Materials Company, Al-Rajeh Detergents Factory and Al-Zahra Company.

The conference aimed at reinforcing academic relations among researchers and academic and research institutions.


 

The conference included three sessions which tackled the issues of optical properties of thin films and nano-columns, photochemical reactions in ZnO surface, the glass transition temperature and properties of nano-materials.


Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah welcomed the attendees and mentioned that the university works hard to promote scientific research and always aspires to develop the Palestinian competencies in various fields of study.

Dr. Sabri Saydam, Minister of Education and Higher Education in Palestine transferred Prof. Hamdallah’s greetings and commended the university’s role in developing higher education and promoting scientific research in Palestine.
