The vision of WISHEPP is to to give the participation opportunity on high school students in addition to undergraduate/graduate students. Therefore, a special session dedicated to high school is held annually during WISHEPP time. However, in the light of the world-wide health situation, the organizing committee has foreseen a virtual event this year called « Young Researcher Conference » that will take place virtually on April 29th at 3:00-5:00 pm.
The conference takes place in the form of competition between groups. Each group prepares a 10 minutes presentation about one of the topics mentioned below in front of a dedicated selection committee. Winners will receive financial reward.
Eligibility conditions:
- Each group is composed of one or two students at most.
- Participants should be from the eleventh or twelfth class/scientific branch or those who find themselves capable.
- Each group sends the presentation by e-mail ([email protected]) before April 27th at 4:00 pm (only PDF format is accepted).
- Each group has 10 minutes maximum to present.
- The presentation should be composed of 10 slides maximum. The first slide includes the title, names of and contact (phone and e-mail) of participants, school name and adresse.
- Possible presenting languages: Arabic, English and French.
- Each group select one of the following topics:
- Big bang theory
- The LHC accelerator
- Science behind particle collisions
- The ATLAS detector
- Nano technology and its applications
- Superconductivity
- Solar cells as a renewable energy source
