The Ecology Friends Society was founded in the year 2012 by a student group of the Biology Department at the Faculty of Science under the supervision of Dr. Raed Al-Kooni to create environmental awareness through positive learning experiences. Its aims at achieving the intended goal of protecting our Palestinian environment.

An-Najah National University is a green university that we must seek to preserve it by sustaining natural resources and raising environmental awareness to achieve the intended goal of protecting the Palestinian environment. 

It aims at raising environmental awareness for students and instructing them on the proper use of the environmental resources through adopting safe environmental behavior.

1.    To raise environmental awareness among students on campus
2.    To Instruct students on the proper use of the environmental resources through adopting safe environmental behaviour
3.    To spread the environmental protection principles among students on campus and other surrounding areas
4.    To know the importance of adopting the safe environmental behaviour as it contributes to reducing climate pollution and global warming
5.    To promote pro environmental action through community service
6.    To spread the importance of biodiversity to human health
7.    To communicate with community bodies to achieve better environmental awareness.
